Toyota plans to unveil a new concept vehicle at the 2008 North American International Auto Show, which begins January 14 in Detroit.
The truck-car hybrid concept vehicle, called the A-BAT, is a compact version of a pickup truck, according to Toyota. But the car is also a hybrid in the energy sense. The A-BAT will have a 4-cylinder gas engine that works with Toyota's Hybrid Synergy Drive, a powertrain that enables the car to run on both electricity and gas.
