A water maintenance crew needs to be out in the field in order to get a reading from the sensors, which can transmit data via a cell phone back to Sensicore's data center. Its next-generation products, due next year, will include a wider set of network options so data can be sent continuously, analyzed, and displayed on its Web-based application.
