CNET News.com reporter Daniel Terdiman visited Albuquerque, N.M., during his Road Trip 2007 through the Southwest. At the National Atomic Museum, the only congressionally chartered museum of nuclear science and history in the United States, a framed copy of the August 7, 1945, issue of the New York Daily News announces the atomic bomb attack on Hiroshima, Japan. The museum opened in 1969.
