Microsoft Wireless Entertainment Desktop 8000
  • Editors' rating: 3h stars
      Overall score: 7.0 (3.5 stars)
  • User rating: 3 stars out of 7 reviews
Microsoft Wireless Entertainment Desktop 8000 Reviewed on 06/15/2007

The Bottom Line: Microsoft's Wireless Entertainment Desktop 8000 brings a lot of features and functions. Its wireless, backlit keyboard is also rechargeable, but we wish it were better designed and about $50 less expensive. We suspect many people will be impressed at the features on the box, but then you'll see the price and move along.

Specs: External, PC, USB, 4 pin USB Type A, Keyboard, Wireless, Laser, Light silver, Mouse

Palm Wireless Keyboard with Bluetooth Wireless Technology
  • Editors' rating: 3h stars
      Overall score: 7.3 (3.5 stars)
Palm Wireless Keyboard with Bluetooth Wireless Technology Reviewed on 06/01/2007

The Bottom Line: For the ultimate road warrior, the Palm Wireless Keyboard is an easy-to-use and practical accessory for your smart phone or PDA so you can more easily get your work done on the go.

Specs: External, PC, AAA type, Keyboard, Wireless, QWERTY

Razer ProType keyboard
  • Editors' rating: 4 stars
      Overall score: 8.0 (4.0 stars)
Razer ProType keyboard Reviewed on 04/23/2007

The Bottom Line: We wish Razer had considered the value proposition a bit more with its iPod dock-equipped ProType keyboard, but if you think minimized cable clutter is worth an extra $30 and the loss of some configurability, you'll find yourself with an attractive keyboard that's a pleasure to type on.

Specs: External, PC, Mac, Line-out, USB, Keyboard, Wired

Logitech Cordless Desktop LX710 Laser
  • Editors' rating: 3 stars
      Overall score: 6.9 (3.0 stars)
  • User rating: 4 stars out of 6 reviews
Logitech Cordless Desktop LX710 Laser Reviewed on 04/09/2007

The Bottom Line: We like the highly customizable Logitech Cordless Desktop LX710 Laser, but we found its overly sensitive quick-launch buttons really annoying.

Specs: External, PC, AA type, USB, 4 pin USB Type A, Keyboard, Wireless, Laser, Mouse

Logitech Cordless MediaBoard for PlayStation 3
  • Editors' rating: 3 stars
      Overall score: 6.7 (3.0 stars)
Logitech Cordless MediaBoard for PlayStation 3 Reviewed on 02/09/2007

The Bottom Line: The Logitech Cordless MediaBoard for PlayStation 3 is currently one of the only Sony-certified--and totally compatible--cordless keyboards for the PS3, but it's really not a true PS3 keyboard.

Specs: External, Game console, AA type, USB, 4 pin USB Type A, Keyboard, Wireless, Touchpad

Microsoft Wireless Entertainment Desktop 7000
  • Editors' rating: 3 stars
      Overall score: 6.7 (3.0 stars)
  • User rating: 3h stars out of 5 reviews
Microsoft Wireless Entertainment Desktop 7000 Reviewed on 02/07/2007

The Bottom Line: Microsoft fits a number of useful features on to the keyboard in its new Wireless Entertainment Desktop 7000 set, but we're not sold. We'll give it credit for its easy-to-use media control buttons, but the keyboard lacks too much overall polish compared to competing products to earn a stronger recommendation.

Specs: External, PC, USB, 4 pin USB Type A, Keyboard, Wireless, Laser, Silver, Mouse

Logitech diNovo Edge
  • Editors' rating: 4 stars
      Overall score: 8.0 (4.0 stars)
  • User rating: 3h stars out of 25 reviews
Logitech diNovo Edge Reviewed on 01/25/2007

The Bottom Line: Thanks to its sharp design, it's easy to imagine this keyboard in the living room or in any high-visibility area. We only wish its touch-sensitive features were more responsive, which especially stings considering the price. If you're willing to accept a $200 keyboard with a few minor flaws, we recommend it.

Specs: 16.1 in x 8.3 in x 0.4 in, 2.1 lbs, Microsoft Windows XP, External, PC, USB, 4 pin USB Type A, Keyboard, Wireless, Black, Bluetooth, Touchpad

Saitek Eclipse II Illumintated Keyboard
  • Editors' rating: 3 stars
      Overall score: 6.0 (3.0 stars)
  • User rating: 3h stars out of 8 reviews
Saitek Eclipse II Illumintated Keyboard Reviewed on 12/11/2006

The Bottom Line: If all you want is a backlit keyboard, Saitek's Eclipse II does that very well. We wish that Saitek had also refined the key feel and added a few other features. Aside from lighting up, it doesn't offer gamers much to get excited about.

Specs: External, PC, USB, 4 pin USB Type A, Keyboard, Wired

Razer Tarantula
  • Editors' rating: 4 stars
      Overall score: 8.7 (4.0 stars)
  • User rating: 2h stars out of 16 reviews
Razer Tarantula Editors' choice Reviewed on 11/06/2006

The Bottom Line: Razer brings all the polish to its Tarantula gaming keyboard that it has to mice over the years. The Tarantula is a little more expensive than other keyboards geared toward gamers, but its build quality, customization options, and responsiveness are definitely worth it.

Specs: External, PC, USB, 4 pin USB Type A, Keyboard, Wired, Black

Logitech EasyCall Desktop
  • Editors' rating: 3h stars
      Overall score: 7.5 (3.5 stars)
Logitech EasyCall Desktop Reviewed on 10/20/2006

The Bottom Line: Despite the hit-and-miss nature of its VoIP-related buttons, the Logitech EasyCall Desktop is first-rate hardware for Internet callers, thanks to the stellar call quality of the included speakerphone.

Specs: External, PC, AA type, USB, 4 pin USB Type A, Keyboard, Wireless, Laser, Black, Mouse
