Pownce invites for sale

I don't know if this is wrong or just weird. A few people have put Pownce invites up on eBay (buy-it-now price is $9.95). Let me remind everyone: it's a free service. And it's in alpha testing. Just wait for it to evolve a bit and open up to more people.

If you want an invite, I just got a few more. I'll give 'em out to the first people to fill out the form below. All gone, sorry.

Pownce invites for sale...Really???
by Sheryl4321 July 6, 2007 6:06 PM PDT
Why anyone would waste their money or their energy on something destined to be public and FREE, is beyond what my brain can comprehend.

However, the person selling the invitation is brilliant. It wouldn't surprise me if they actually make a little money. You have to applaud the ingenuity of the person who thinks of every opportunity.

reminds me of Gmail and WLM

This reminds me of Gmail and Windows Live Messenger.

I'll admit, I am evil. I sold Gmail invites and Windows Live Messenger invites when they were hot. I may $10 a pop for Gmail invites when they were the craze. I never made more than $5 each off of WLM invites (but I also had 10 of them). Yes, I am evil, but I am better now (I hope).

The only condition is you have to invite someone back when you get an invite. But that is good. You have to help someone if you have been helped by others.

Great post. I recommend Peer Papers for researching. They have over 100,000 term papers and essays available on almost every subject.
