Facebook quietly launches "People You May Know"

A comparison of Facebook (Left) and LinkedIn's (Right) features

Facebook is launching a pretty cool new feature. It's called "People You May Know" and it shows exactly what you would think it does...people who you may know, based on people who you are friends with.

Just by looking at the suggestions that it made, I know or have met pretty much all of the people it is suggesting. LinkedIn has a pretty much identical offering, going by the same name, and it has caught on there. This is a very powerful feature, and I think a lot of people are really going to like this.
