Weekend project: Sync your .Mac bookmarks one last time
(Credit: Apple.com)Are you a .Mac subscriber who's been using the built-in bookmark syncing app? Come Sunday that service will no longer exist as part of the MobileMe transition, so if you want to do one last sync you've got to get it done this weekend.
Shortly after the MobileMe announcement last month Apple sent out an e-mail to current .Mac subscribers detailing this change. Friday, the company extended the transfer deadline to July 6, along with providing a how-to guide to make sure you've got everything synced up one last time. You can get full instructions on how to do the sync here.
The July 6 deadline, which is Sunday, leads me to believe that the MobileMe changeover may be dropping a day or two early from the expected July 11 release date.

"As part of the transition to MobileMe, web access to your bookmarks stored on mac.com will end this July.
MobileMe will let you easily access your bookmarks from anywhere by syncing them across all your computers, and pushing them over the air to your iPhone and iPod touch. However, the existing .Mac Bookmarks application will be taken offline and will no longer provide web access to your bookmarks."

i figured a site like this would be smart enough to get the facts right.
Once MobileMe is up and running, you'll have to sync your book marks again; all of that data will come from your local computer, as there will be no Bookmark data in your MobileMe account/
If you read between the lines, Apple is just telling you that they are not transferring your Bookmark data for you.
