- "Full suite of protection"
Though not as well-known as some competitors, this antivirus program offers rock-solid protection. AVG Anti-Virus Professional provides all the necessities, including a tool for scanning your hard drive and e-mail, as well as a real-time shield to prevent infections.
You'll find a full-blown scheduling utility for automating tasks and checking for new definitions as often as you'd like. Other perks found in this Pro version include technical support and the ability to run on multiple operating systems. Should a virus create serious system problems, AVG creates a rescue disk to scan your computer in MS-DOS mode.
The program doesn't tax your system when scanning or when running in the background, and it always proved effective in our tests. The interface can't be described as beautiful, yet it is mostly simple to navigate.
Though the free version of this program will suffice for average folks, those who demand more control should certainly consider AVG Anti-Virus Professional.

Version: AVG Anti-Virus Professional Single Edition 7.0.308
Pros: Nothing really.
Cons: This has the poorest detection rate of any AV I have tried. People swear by this program and it is sad. I shouldnt take too much anger out on this program, I am still steaming that it allowed the Sober Email variant worm right into my inbox.Naturally I did not open it, I did an online scan..This was the only AV that did not recognize the virus.

Pros: at first, i have AVG 7.0 Free for 4-5 monts. at next i installed Kaspersky Personal and i found 3 viruses! One time , when i downloades .exe fail, i scanned whit avg and avg did: Virus not found! i open the file and this erasses all data from all hard drives! after i install the new windows and installed kaspersky , kaspersky found a virus! This is 2 times when i download "virus" who erase all data from disks! then i never installed AVG again! I will post 2 sites whit firuses in .zip format and you scan whit AVG, of 100 viruses AVG will found 30, kaspersky found all viruses who i downloades, but AVG ... why people thinks this is a good antivirus... ! i don't know, maybe there users not browse in internet in warez sites where is full whit viruses. i browse very very ... and i was forever full whit viruses when i was whit avg, i don't know that a have a viruses ... when i installed kaspersky ... but people, you choose!

Version: AVG Anti-Virus Professional Single Edition 7.0.308
Pros: I have been using AVG for almost three years now (now Server edition), integrated into our Mailtraq server to provide e-mail scanning. Works perfectly and has never missed a virus. The AVG lab produce frequent updates and tackle outbreaks quickly. Grisoft offer great support too, though I have only dealt with them by e-mail.
Cons: Interface is a bit awkward and fussy, though you don't need to do much once installed the e-mail server takes care of the rest. Can become expensive with large numbers of users.
