Version: Avant Browser 10.0 build 131
"It is using Internet explorer to render pages"
Pros: More features than Internet explorer.
Cons: As it uses Internet explorer to render web pages, it is very vulnerable on spyware, specially on machines without Windows XP SP2. Internet explorer rendering engine is also slower when accessing pages than competition. Unfortunatly, many features of this program results in user interface clutter. Mozilla Firefox is much better in almost every way, you can consider Opera, too.

Version: Avant Browser 10.0 build 131
Pros: First, Firefox is overrated and overadvertised beyond the limit. That is the only reason people are buying into it. Avant gives more features-BETTER tab browsing THAN Firefox, truly faster speed than Firefox, and support for the necessary plugins Firefox lacks(i.e. ActiveX), and it is designed for the home user and professional. Firefox can
t be used by many companies due to its nonsupport of the needed plugins that require the business web sites to run properly.
Cons: The only thing I didn't like was that when I shut it down, it took a while and some memory... But Firefox shut down nicely. Firefox is a bit more smooother and better GUI.

Version: Avant Browser 10.0 build 131
Pros: Avant is the first tab browser I have used that had worked pretty good.
Even though it has slowed down quite a lot over the years I still reccomend this over most IE shells.
Cons: as an IE shell this will have about the same amount of security holes as IE. BUT its pop up blocking is very good, and I trust it more then most when it comes to those pesky IE only pages.
using this along side of Mozilla firefox is good for those who want to transition

"I've been a loyal user for years"
Pros: Very easy to use, quite stable on my system (XP Home). Of course it's tabbed browsing. I've tried others, but none work as reliably for me. I won't be switching from Avant any time soon.
Cons: Most of the IE toolbars I've come across won't work with Avant. It's not Avant's fault - but it's an unfortunate fact. Also, because it's an IE shell there's the security issue.

"Best built browser using IE platform"
Pros: Like most users here I like its features, Its top?s for playing and eases of use. Easy to configure and understand.
Cons: I wouldn?t use any browser built on IE platform for online banking.I always wonder what information?s being sent, kept and logged when the ?Similar web site? is in use. It is transparent two way communications is constant between their server and your machine.
