Avant Browser allows users to browse multiple Web sites simultaneously and to block all unwanted pop-up pages and Flash ads automatically. The integrated cleaner helps users clear all traces and maintain privacy. The built-in Yahoo/Google search engines enable users to search for Web pages, images, groups, directories, lyrics, software, and news on the Internet. Avant Browser provides options for blocking the download of Flash media, pictures, video, sounds, and ActiveX components, so users can efficiently use their bandwidth and speed up page loading. All opened pages can be stopped, refreshed, closed, or arranged with one click. It also comes with built-in RSS reader. Its Similar Web sites Bar displays Web sites which are related to the opened Web pages.

• "Ditch Internet Explorer"

Starting from the Internet Explorer engine, Avant Browser adds useful capabilities, such as grouped favorites, an RSS reader, and tabbed browsing. The first thing we noticed upon launch was the aesthetically pleasing skin that came as the default with Avant Browser, but you can choose from among many preloaded skins in the Tools menu. The tabbed-browsing feature lets you quickly switch among Web sites, rather than having to shuffle through several browser instances in the Windows taskbar. If you visit several Favorites often, you can save them as a group and open the whole group with one click. When you shut down the program, Avant Browser remembers which windows were open and launches them the next time it starts up. You also can automatically refresh all windows, or only the current one, at regular intervals. A simple pop-up blocker works in most cases, but it was powerless against some floating banners and other, more obscure pop-up methods. Overall, we found Avant Browser a great alternative to Internet Explorer, with useful features that make browsing even more efficient.

  Pros: THIS BROWSER WILL AMASE YOU HOW EASY AND CONFARTABLE IS TO USE. I AM SURE THAT YOU WILL DUMP YOUR OLD BROWSER AFTER YOU HAVE TRYED THIS ONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  YOU WILL DUMP EVEN THE MOUST POPULAR ONES LIKE THE ONE THAT COMES WITH WINDOWS.

  YOU MUST TRY THIS BROWSER

  IT DOSE MORE THEN WHAT DOWNLOAD TELLS YOU.

  IT WILL BLOW YOUR MIND OUT-I PROMIS!!!-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-==-=-=-=-=-=-=-=--==-=-=--=-

  Cons: MAKE THE LIST WITH ADRESSES LONGER UP TO 50 OR MORE BECAUSE IT WILL SAVE ALL THE TIME TYPEING.

  "Good alternative to IE"

  Pros: Avant is yet another contender in the browser wars. I like how it's fully skinnable, and you can drag the toolbars all over the place. It doesn't take long to load, and biggest thing is, it's free, with no extra ads or little pieces of extra software. Thumbs up for Avant if you're just looking to get away from Internet Explorer's many flaws.

  Cons: Sharing a similar base with IE, Avant also shares some vulnerabilities...it doesn't live up to its promise of 'fastest browser on earth', and i found it to be only slightly faster than IE, while Firefox and Opera boasted even bigger speed increases.

  Still, Avant is a decent solid program.

  "Good alternative to IE"

  Pros: I used this browser a few weeks ago and some of the features were good, though not great. The popup blocker works well, and the tabbed browsing feature in this is better than in mozilla

  Cons: I don't like the intergrated Yahoo! search and there are too many buttons which make it seem crowded

  "Pretty Good Browser."

  Pros: Of all the browsers of this type that I've used.Avant seems for me the fastest and most stable of it's kind.

  Cons: Still just another ie overlay.
