Publisher's description of Avant Browser 10.1 build 37
Avant Browser allows users to browse multiple Web sites simultaneously and to block all unwanted pop-up pages and Flash ads automatically. The integrated cleaner helps users clear all traces and maintain privacy. The built-in Yahoo and Google search engines enable users to search for Web pages, images, groups, directories, lyrics, software, and news on the Internet. Avant Browser provides options for blocking the download of Flash media, pictures, video, sounds, and ActiveX components, so users can efficiently use their bandwidth and speed up page loading. All opened pages can be stopped, refreshed, closed, or arranged with one click. It also comes with built-in RSS reader. Its similar Web sites bar displays Web sites, which are related to the opened Web pages.
Version 10.1 build 37 improves stability for Pop-up Blocker.

"It's good, but could be great..."
Pros: Nicer looking than Internet Explorer, FREE.
Cons: Still has security flaws, though they say they don't...

"Problems Fixed from the last builds"
Pros: Once again this is a great browser, very fast. It has quite a lot of toolbars that can be added/removed. It autosaves the last site you were on if you close out avant (even after a restart of your computer).
Great pop-up blocker. It has a great flash filter that filters out flash advertising for even faster browsing. There are now tons of skins to download that weren't available before.
The problem of some sites not being found have been fixed, I have not had a problem since i downloaded it. I recommend this for your default browser.
Cons: Although the problems have been fixed, the pop-up blocker is a bit of a overworker. It will block url's that you type in to the address bar (i.e. typing in google.com). But then you just click on the link shown in the corner to get to it.
Also a feature it still doesnt have is showing what site your on when avant is reduced.
Other than that, this browser stands above all.

"Excellent - Based On Microsoft's Proven Internet Exporer Engine"
Pros: Avant is based on Microsoft Internet Explorer Engine and this freeware browser simply shows that the browser dubbed "Internet Exploiter" can truly be used in such a way that it rivals even the likes of Firefox. Customisation is a dream to use, through tabbed browsing, to advertisement blocking, all the now common browser features are covered. But Avant holds another trick up its sleeve in that the graphical rendering engine has been optimised and refine to rival Opera in speed and functionality. Don't want to change the classic IE GUI layout yet want fast and secure browsing? Look no further.
The GUI is plain and simple, meaning that for everyday use, Avast is simply bliss and doesn't take too long to master. Toolbars and taskbars are fully customisable to your needs, a dream to use.
Cons: Avant has no flaws of which i can explain would devoid the software of any features or functionality.

"I have a completey UNBIASED opinion about this browser and others"
Pros: I was in search of the tabbed browsing experience with the hope of finding a little more speed and of course compatablitly for every site that I may surf. I found AVANT to be just as fast as IE, now that isn't a bad thing because it does have the tabbed browsing and I can still go to EBAY and download photos, but I also tried OPERA. It is noticably faster but I couldn't do any EBAY photo downloading. OPERA would be the best if it could handle all the sites out there like IE does so far. I also tried FOXFIRE. It is almost identical to OPERA. If you want IE's ability to surf everywhere with it's standardized ability, then AVANT is definitely the browser to use. You won't have any problems setting it as your default browser either (OPERA and FOXFIRE both had to set each and every time I accessed the internet). I gave it 4 stars because it is slower but it gets the jobs done with a good amount of features. I found it's interface easy to use compared to the rest and you will too if your used to IE. Overall this is my main browser of choice because of it's reliability. I just wish OPERA was able to do what I need! Because if you don't use EBAY, then DEFINITELY use OPERA>
Cons: A LITTLE SLOWER THAN THE REST.

"Streamlined Efficiency and Function"
Pros: Although this is an add on browser to IE, it modifies IE to make it easier and more efficient to use with its tab browsing, ad blocker and some other features Firefox boasts of. It can be customized with skins and other features to suit the needs of the individual user. Has a sleek design the streamlines functionality. Suits my tastes and needs in a well designed browser. Highly recommend a test drive!
