Publisher's description of Avant Browser 10.1 build 40
Avant Browser allows users to browse multiple Web sites simultaneously and to block all unwanted pop-up pages and Flash ads automatically. The integrated cleaner helps users clear all traces and maintain privacy. The built-in Yahoo and Google search engines enable users to search for Web pages, images, groups, directories, lyrics, software, and news on the Internet. Avant Browser provides options for blocking the download of Flash media, pictures, video, sounds, and ActiveX components, so users can efficiently use their bandwidth and speed up page loading. All opened pages can be stopped, refreshed, closed, or arranged with one click. It also comes with built-in RSS reader. Its similar Web sites bar displays Web sites, which are related to the opened Web pages.
Version 10.1 build 40 improves user interface.

"Good Internet Explorer front-end. Just find one you like and use it."
Pros: Its free.
It brings tabbed browsing to Internet Explorer.
Has a lot of cool features Internet Explorer doesn't have.
Some added security features over Internet Explorer.
Cons: A little bloated.
All of these Internet Explorer front-ends are all the same. None of them bring anything original to the table. They all do the same things while looking exactly like Internet Explorer. Program should strive to be like AOL Explorer, which is a lot more original with an original looking interface.

Version: Avant Browser 10.1 build 40
"Still the best, but doesnt improve"
Pros: This is still a great browser with just as many features as the last builds. Has ton of skin downloads, great pop-up blocker, great flash disabler, fast web browsing, and a great full screen mode. Everything is customizable, making the way you want your browser to look.
This browser has so many features that opera, firefox, and netscape have. You can view the last 120 sites you visited!! It has an option to disable flash animations for faster browsing, along with images, activex, videos, java applets, and more.
You can also have different tabs set in horizontal, vertical, and more other ways to look at 2 or more different websites at a time. Also has features of closing all tabs but 1, closing all windows, cascading, and maximizing all tabs.
No matter how many cons you get on this browser, the pros will count each one out and keep you using this browser.
Cons: It didn't seem to improve from the last build. Something that really irritates me is that it goes really slow while browsering txt files or any other scrolling files that large while IE doesn't. Pop-up blocker is still an overworker, blocking typed-in url's. The similiar websites toolbar needs a little work.
You cannot add in downloaded toolbars, they must be built into avant browser (i.e. like Google tollbar was).

Version: Avant Browser 10.1 build 40
"Improves your web surfing greatly."
Pros: While it seems Avant Browser updates without any visible improvement it is indeed improving. They maybe minor, but is improving. The browser requires Internet Explorer, but adds much more to the IE package. Tabbed browsing, URL alias, popup blocker, ad-blocker, groups, and RSS feeds. What really makes this browser shine is how well the menus are laid out for a browser with many features. You can still access IE's options through the programs in addition. You can customize the browser to you liking removing as well as moving around toolbars, and buttons.
Cons: Internet Explorer is very old. While the browser still relies on it. It does give it some advantages. Namely web compatibility without the bugs that Opera, and Mozilla suffer from such as excess memory, and CPU usage, but that's where the advantages end. New and fresher browsing engines are becoming better and better over time. Microsoft has released many security patches for IE, but since SP2, it seems the more you update, the more you are restricted from viewing the web for security sake. Avant Browser is only the beginning. The author is making another browser based on the Firefox engine. Eventually they will merge into one browser giving the compatibility and security of both worlds. Avant Browser is not going to just stay in one place. It is evolving with the changing times. That is the word is at least.
