From BillP Studios:WinPatrol and Scotty the Windows Watch Dog will expose worms, trojan horses, cookies, adware, spyware and other malicioius programs. WinPatrol's goal is to help you better understand what programs are running on your computer, and alert you to any new programs that might be added without your permission. WinPatrol will ask you to confirm any new programs which have been set up to always run when you start your computer.
You won't find a lot of fancy graphics or animations in WinPatrol. We've optimized the program to be as small as possible so it can be used constantly without interfering with the speed or memory of other programs.
Updating WinPatrol
Exit your current WinPatrol before running the new wpsetup.exe!
If you already have WinPatrol, we recommend you install this new version in the same folder you're currently using and preserve your settings. If you choose to Uninstall your previous version of WinPatrol you must reboot before installing the new WinPatrol.
PLUS members make a note of their PLUS Name and Registration code and should download the newest free version to upgrade. This information is displayed when you click on the PLUS tab. In most cases, WinPatrol will auto detect that you're a PLUS member but if you've forgotten your code Email your name to support@winpatrol.com and we'll send you your code.
