"Intuit is going downhill"
Pros: They can still turnaround
Cons: Tech support is useless
Summary: When buying a product, you have to look at more than the basic functionality. You also have to look at support.
To be frank, the customer service (or lack thereof) has completely turned me away from buying any of Intuits products. If they want to survive as a company, they have to lose the Indian tech support.
Tech support grammar is horrendous to the point where the average person couldn't understand what they are trying to say. They are also complete idiots--unable to answer a simple question about importing data from Money to the newest Quicken. 15 minutes with tech support, and they couldn't tell me if they could even import data from Money.
In this page (http://quicken.intuit.com/personal-finance/premier-portfolio-management.jhtml#Q8), the link in the FAQ says that Money data can be converted to 2007 format using a data converter. If you follow the link to (https://quicken.custhelp.com/cgi-bin/quicken.cfg/php/enduser/std_adp.php?p_faqid=2659), there is a prominant note that says "The converter will not convert data to Quicken 2007."
They may be saving a $1 by off-shoring tech support, but they are losing MUCH more than that in lost sales revenue.
Intuit was a really good company at one time. Too bad they sold themselves short with inferior support. Hopefully they'll pull their collective heads out of their arses and build themselves back up as a reputable company.
Until then, I am stuck using Microsoft Money.

Anyone who has attempted to get support from Intuit knows that Intuit offers no support--they only offer endless tail chasing without any solutions. Does the email reply "we cannot respond to all emails" sound familiar? YOu will never hear from Intuit.
Don't spend anytime trying to get any support from Intuit... it won't happen. It makes me wonder whether Intuit provides any sort of contact for "support" simply to avoid claims of misrepresentation when Intuit claims that it offers support. -
Intuits Pre-Sales Telephone Supt is ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLIE too!
Abysmal is an understatement! Completely unintelligible, extremely BAD grammar and a miserable lack of understanding are but only two of the many reasons Intuits Offshore Technical Supt REALLY SUCKS. I finally gave up on trying to get an intelligible adequate answer to my Quicken 2007 pre-purchase questions after having called 4 times in which I wasted over well an hour of my time. And, this isnt the first time that this has happened either. Last year, the pre-sale answers I got resulted in my being EXTREMELY POd at Intuit because as it turned out, after wasting countless hours of my time, the product they recommend (which I purchased) wasnt really capable of doing what I needed after all, even though multiple Indian techs kept assuring me that it would.
I hope such feedback serves as a significant lesson to Intuits executives, and other companies, that offshoreing such telephony support to India, or other similar locations, not only results in PO customers; but it also totally turns off those prospective customers thinking of purchasing Intuit products. If Intuit's exec's feel they really must offshore such supt, then they should at least do it in a country like Canada so its English speaking U.S. customers wont have to fight with those on the other end of the line just to try and understand or make sense of what they are trying to say. Of course, I havent even mentioned the fact that its been almost impossible to get the Indian techs to understand what it is youre trying to ask them in the first place.
One VERY Disappointed Prospective Customer whos looking elsewhere.

I agree that the conversion process is terrible. In fact, I don't recommend it. I'm thinking of taking them up on their money back guarantee and going back to MSMoney2006. Anyway, if you really want to convert to Quicken, try this link on their support pages:
